WEST SIDE:  Window Eight/ASCENSION

At the top is the Chi Rho (XPICTOC), the Greek symbol for Christ in its abbreviated form of XP. The Crown denotes that Christ is King forever and sits at the right hand of God the Father. The two triangles, one superimposed over the other is known as the Creator’s Star. Jesus sits on the throne with crossed palms, representing His victory over sin and death and the scale symbolizes judgment. Christians remember the Ascension of our Lord when we recite the Apostles Creed; “He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty and will come again to judge the living and the dead.”
