worship with us...

Sunday School:  9:00 am

Sunday Worship Service:  10:15 am

Worship is our primary means to glorify the mystery and majesty of Almighty God.  Our style includes a blend of traditional and contemporary elements in combination with United Methodist practice.  Dress is casual.  There is a special children’s time for elementary age worshippers and our children and youth assist in the services on a regular basis. Our worship is intended to emphasize the transformational nature of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ and how we are called to be faithful disciples in our daily and corporate lives. Baptism and Holy Communion are celebrated regularly.

By Profession of
Faith and Baptism

If you desire a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have not yet been baptized, the pastor will be happy to discuss the significance of accepting Jesus into your life as well as the meaning of baptism with you at your convenience in your home or in the church office.

BAPTISM

The sacrament of baptism initiates us into Christ's holy church and the gathered community responds in faith to God's grace by claiming and incorporating each newly baptized member into the local fellowship as well as the universal Christian church.

UM's may baptize persons by any mode used by the Christian church (sprinkling, pouring or immersion) and persons of any age (including infants and children) are suitable candidates for baptism.

Simply inform the pastor.  It is not necessary for you to contact your former church.  Alice First United Methodist Church will handle the details of your transfer for you.

Another Christian Denomination

The process is very much like the one above.  Since you are already baptized and confirmed, these steps will not be repeated.  You will be asked to take the one vow taken by all members of the United Methodist Church:  "Will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church and uphold it by your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service?"
